Crusader Athletics
Trinity Lutheran School offers interscholastic athletic opportunities for students to develop and enjoy their God-given talents. We are proud of the students and coaches who contribute to make the athletics program a positive experience. The athletics program at Trinity provides experiences to help our students grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and most importantly, spiritually. Our athletic program aims to prepare our students to compete in today’s world with Christian values—winning at “any cost” does not serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Students are challenged to want to win and excel, but with Christian principles prevailing at all times.
We believe that participation in athletics, both as a participant and spectator, benefits students’ educational experiences. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it a responsibility to reflect a Christian witness through a high level of sportsmanship.
Our athletic program sees the organized sports experience as a platform for developing athletic, social and spiritual skills. One of the major goals of the athletic program is to help students learn to apply Christian principles to their lives. Dealing with success, as well as frustrations and failure, understanding teamwork, and maintaining a proper Christian attitude in sports and in daily life are the athletic programs goal for every student-athlete.
While we encourage all 5th-8th grade students to participate in Crusaders Athletics, we do not offer all sports. Therefore 7th-8th grade students may participate in sports we do not offer (football, swimming, track, etc.) at Boone Middle School.
