Fourth-grade students have been reading Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse. The novel uses free-verse poetry to tell the harsh story of a young girl and her family during the Dust Bowl. History, geography, science, and conservation have been interwoven into our curriculum through independent reading and class discussion. Second grade has been on a roll! We recently celebrated our football-themed reading incentive with a super fun party — and our team truly scored a touchdown! Together, our amazing readers powered through and read over 9,000 words. That’s a LOT of pages, stories, and learning! We are so proud of their effort, teamwork, and growing love for reading.

1st Grade - February 2026
We have been very busy in our 1st grade classroom! In reading, we have been learning about weather and wind. We have talked about how different kinds of weather can change how we feel and how God shows His power and creativity through the wind and storms. Students have enjoyed sharing their thoughts and making connections between weather and emotions.

Kindergarteners have had a fun, busy, productive month in February! We focused on love and did several heart art projects. We made valentines and wrote letters to send to Trinity’s members who are homebound or living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Preschool - February 2026
Wow, February always seems to fly by, and we have been busy growing, learning, and discovering together! What a blessing it has been to enjoy some warmer temperatures so we can head outside and play. The children even cheer, “Snow? Hip, hip, hooray!” They love watching God’s creation change around us and finding joy in every kind of weather.
