As we look back on the month of February and step into the season of Lent, we are reminded of the greatest truth we could ever share with our students: God loves us.

It has been a busy and engaging month in 7th and 8th grade as students continue to grow academically and represent our school in meaningful ways.

February has been a month of steady growth, meaningful learning, and a few memorable adventures along the way.

Fourth-grade students have been reading Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse. The novel uses free-verse poetry to tell the harsh story of a young girl and her family during the Dust Bowl. History, geography, science, and conservation have been interwoven into our curriculum through independent reading and class discussion. Students have learned many facts about the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression, and the people who lived and died during that time period in the United States, while

February has been an amazing month in third grade! We had a wonderful time celebrating our 100th Day of School and enjoying our Valentine’s Day party. The students have been busy learning, growing, and having fun together. 

Second grade has been on a roll! We recently celebrated our football-themed reading incentive with a super fun party — and our team truly scored a touchdown! Together, our amazing readers powered through and read over 9,000 words. That’s a LOT of pages, stories, and learning! We are so proud of their effort, teamwork, and growing love for reading.

We have been very busy in our 1st grade classroom! In reading, we have been learning about weather and wind. We have talked about how different kinds of weather can change how we feel and how God shows His power and creativity through the wind and storms. Students have enjoyed sharing their thoughts and making connections between weather and emotions.

Kindergarteners have had a fun, busy, productive month in February! We focused on love and did several heart art projects. We made valentines and wrote letters to send to Trinity’s members who are homebound or living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. 

Wow, February always seems to fly by, and we have been busy growing, learning, and discovering together! What a blessing it has been to enjoy some warmer temperatures so we can head outside and play. The children even cheer, “Snow? Hip, hip, hooray!” They love watching God’s creation change around us and finding joy in every kind of weather.

Lutheran Schools Week is a joyful celebration at Trinity Lutheran School, and this year’s theme, “Make a Joyful Noise,” beautifully reflects what we experience in our school each day.

It has been a busy and productive time in 7th and 8th grade as students continue to grow academically, creatively, and as leaders within our school community.

The halls have felt especially lively since our return from break. It has been a joy to settle back into routines, reconnect with classmates, and begin a new stretch of learning together. Along with this renewed energy, excitement was building for National Lutheran Schools Week. 

Fourth graders began 2026 with a novel study of From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

January has been a wonderful month in our classroom, and it has been such a blessing to begin the new year growing together in both faith and learning. 

January has flown by in second grade! We returned from Christmas break by reviewing skills we had already learned and quickly moved into new units and topics. It has been exciting to see students jump back into learning with focus, curiosity, and growing confidence.

Our first graders have been busy learning and growing in many exciting ways! In reading, we recently finished a unit focused on the special features God created in animals to help them survive.

January has been another fun month in Kindergarten! We have focused on snow in both Art and Science.

Hello, Fabulous Families! We are excited that February is almost here and we get to celebrate LOVE.

December is a season filled with excitement, anticipation, and celebration—but above all, it is a season of Good News and Great Joy. In Luke 2:10–11, the angel proclaims,  “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
