We’ve had an exciting and busy few weeks in second grade! Our class is full of joy, kindness, and love. It’s truly a blessing to see how well everyone gets along and supports each other.
In our language arts lessons, we’ve been reviewing nouns, adjectives, and verbs. To make learning fun, we played a game of Hot Potato! The students passed around a “hot potato” while music played, and when the music stopped, the student holding the potato had to come up with a noun, adjective, or verb. It was a lot of fun, and everyone did such a great job!
In Bible stories, we’ve learned about the Ten Lepers and Blind Bartimaeus. Both stories taught us valuable lessons about faith, gratitude, and kindness. The Ten Lepers reminded us to always be thankful for the blessings we receive, and Blind Bartimaeus showed us how important it is to have faith in Jesus, even when things seem impossible. These stories help us understand how Jesus heals our sin sickness and makes us whole through His death and resurrection. As a class, we practice treating others with love and respect, just as Jesus did.
In math, we’ve been working on regrouping addition with three-digit numbers. The students have been practicing carrying over digits and adding large numbers with great focus and determination. They’re becoming very skilled at solving problems with regrouping!
Our classroom continues to be a place where love and kindness shine through every day. The students are always helping one another, sharing, and showing compassion. I am so proud of how well they work together and support each other as they grow in their learning and faith.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach these wonderful children at Trinity Lutheran School. We continue to grow in faith and knowledge, always striving to follow God’s Word in all that we do.

Everyone in my class does love! Do you? Did you know Jesus loves me and you?!
