April was a month full of learning, creativity, and new challenges for our 7th and 8th graders! We kicked off the month with a field trip to Climb Iowa, where students tested their strength, teamwork, and perseverance on the climbing walls. It was an exciting day of pushing limits, encouraging classmates, and celebrating accomplishments together.

In science, students rolled up their sleeves for hands-on learning by dissecting grasshoppers, frogs, and worms. Through these investigations, they gained a deeper understanding of anatomy and the incredible complexity of God’s creation.

Math lessons kept students thinking critically as they graphed equations and inequalities, strengthening both their algebra skills and problem-solving abilities. In art, we explored surrealism through the works of René Magritte. Students enjoyed experimenting with creativity and symbolism, producing imaginative pieces that encouraged us all to think differently about the world around us.

In religion class, our focus remained on the foundation of our faith—the resurrection of Jesus. Students reflected on the hope and joy that Easter brings, and how we are called to live as His people every day.

Outside the classroom, rehearsals for The Wizard of Oz musical have been filling the halls with excitement! Students have been working hard memorizing lines, practicing songs, and preparing a wonderful production for our Trinity community. Soccer season is also in full swing for our 5th–8th graders, with students demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and plenty of Crusader pride out on the field.

It’s been a full and fantastic month, and we are proud of all the growth, effort, and energy our students have shown!
