Spring has officially sprung in our 4th-grade classroom! As we embrace the month of April, we are excited to share all the wonderful learning and growth happening in our class.
In literacy, we have been diving into the fascinating world of myths! Students are exploring what myths are and discussing why they were created. This unit has sparked great conversations about the cultural significance of these stories, and we are eager to share some of our favorite myths with one another. We also began reading Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech as a class.
In math, we have been busy converting units of measure using both standard and metric systems. Our discussions about why precision matters in math have been enlightening, and I am proud of how well the students have grasped these concepts. Their hard work and diligence truly shine through in their calculations!
In science, we are currently studying electricity, light, and heat. The students have been engaged in hands-on activities that help them understand how these essential forces impact our everyday lives. It's exciting to see their curiosity grow as they explore the world around them.
In social studies, we have successfully finished memorizing all 50 states and capitals! I am thrilled with the progress the students have made, and we have some fun activities planned to reinforce their knowledge as we move forward.
As we head into May, I am looking forward to even more growth and exploration in our classroom. Thank you for your continued support, and here's to a month filled with learning and discovery. Happy Spring!
