Preschool - April 2025

April showers brought wonderful learning opportunities as preschoolers explored changes in the weather, our neighborhood, and nature. We marveled at flowers growing, worms wiggling, and caterpillars creating their chrysalises. God is AMAZING!

Spring changes also gave us natural ways to practice math skills like graphing the weather, measuring worms, and simple addition and subtraction. Our number skills have really grown!

We’ve continued working on letter identification (upper- and lowercase) through games, books, songs, and writing. Sharing stories, prayers, and letters—get-well cards, thank-you notes, and 'I love you' messages—has been a daily blessing.

Even with rain and wind, we made it outside to pick up litter, learning how God calls us to care for the earth and for one another.

We welcomed special guest readers: Mayor Stines, Naturalist Kyle, retired teacher Angela Pratt, Mr. Z, and Ms. Bob! Family volunteers also helped make our Easter parties extra fun. We are filled with endless energy and joy to celebrate Jesus’s resurrection!

“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” Preschoolers have learned that not only did Jesus commission the apostles in Matthew 28:16-20 to go forth and share the life and love of Jesus but we are called to do the same. We are not to “hide it (our faith) under a bushel. No! We’re gonna let it shine.” May you let the light of Jesus shine in you brightly today and always!

Prayers from Preschool
