Christ is Risen! He is Risen, indeed! Alleluia!
April has been full of fresh air, learning adventures, and joyful celebration in 5th and 6th grade! We kicked off the month with a special “Forest Friday” field trip to Ledges State Park. Students enjoyed time in nature, exploring the beauty of God’s creation while building friendships and making memories. It was the perfect way to welcome the spring season and take our learning beyond the classroom.
In the classroom, our Language Arts studies have continued with more work on pronouns and refining grammar skills. In Literature, the 6th graders are wrapping up The Odyssey and reflecting on Odysseus’ journey home, while the 5th graders are continuing to explore the clever world of The Phantom Tollbooth.
In Religion, students have been working on an exciting project—creating digital newspapers that detail the key events of Jesus’ life. Through this, they’re gaining a deeper understanding of His ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection. We also celebrated Easter together as a school, rejoicing in the hope and promise we have in Christ. Our classroom Easter parties brought lots of smiles, fun, and sweet moments of fellowship.
Looking ahead, excitement is building as we prepare for our spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, coming up on May 9th! Rehearsals are in full swing, and I’m so proud of the hard work and creativity our students are putting into bringing this timeless story to life. It’s shaping up to be a magical performance you won’t want to miss!
