Preschool - February 2026

Hello, Fabulous Families! 

Wow, February always seems to fly by, and we have been busy growing, learning, and discovering together! What a blessing it has been to enjoy some warmer temperatures so we can head outside and play. The children even cheer, “Snow? Hip, hip, hooray!” They love watching God’s creation change around us and finding joy in every kind of weather.

Our classroom has been buzzing with creativity. We enjoy writing letters and drawing pictures to give to friends and family. Students are copying simple words and phrases as they practice letter formation and identify beginning sounds. It is exciting to see their confidence grow as they recognize letters and connect sounds to words. Our backpacks and cubbies are overflowing with colorful artwork, thoughtful notes, and creative projects. We have definitely learned how amazing it is to share God’s love through our actions and words. Practicing compliments and kind speech has helped us “fill buckets” and fill our classroom with joy!

We began our Friendzy unit learning how God has made each of us “uniquely you,” and we continue to celebrate the ways we are different and the same all at once. Teddy Bear Day helped bring this concept to life. Each bear was special in its own way, yet all were loved just the same. We graphed attributes, measured and weighed our bears, danced with them, cared for them, and even read stories together. It was truly a beary-good day filled with learning and laughter. In Religion, we have been learning how Jesus showed God’s love to all people—even when others doubted or questioned. We loved hearing how Jesus called the “wee little man,” Zacchaeus, down from the sycamore tree and changed his heart, even though others told Him to stay away. We were also in awe as we learned about Jesus calming the storm. Watching Him quiet the wind and waves reminded us that we can trust Him when life feels scary or uncertain. We even placed our teddy bears “out to sea” as disciples, bringing the Bible story to life in our classroom. “Be calm” and “Know that I am near” have become some of our favorite reminders.

We are so thankful for the ways God is growing our hearts and minds each day. Thank you for partnering with us in this joyful season of learning!
