2nd Grade - May 2026

Second grade had a great final month of school filled with learning, fun, and special memories together! Several students finished all of their memory work for the year, and we are so proud of the hard work they showed.

Civil rights became an important topic in our classroom as we learned about people who helped shape our country and worked for equal rights for all citizens. Students had thoughtful discussions about fairness, kindness, and treating others with respect.

In math, we finished the year learning more about money and how we use it in everyday life. We also took a field trip to Cole School, where students experienced learning in a one-room schoolhouse for the day. One especially fun day, let students choose any name they wanted and be called by it all day long!

The final weeks of school were filled with fun treats and activities, including bubbles, baby goats, pizza day, and so much more!

This class has truly been such a blessing to teach. They filled each day with laughter, joy, and so much love, and I am thankful for such a wonderful year together.
