2nd Grade - October 2026

Second grade has been busy learning and growing throughout October! In social studies, we have been exploring the foundation of our country and what it means to be a citizen of the United States. Students are learning about our nation's history and the importance of showing kindness and respect toward others.

In math, we recently completed our second chapter and took our chapter test. We are now beginning a new chapter focused on subtraction as students continue building their number skills and problem-solving abilities.

In art, students have been exploring perspective and creating three-dimensional projects to put their new skills into practice. In English and language arts, we have been learning about nouns and suffixes while strengthening our reading and writing skills. We have also enjoyed fall-themed journaling, sharing our thoughts about the season and all the fun it brings.

It has been wonderful to see our second graders grow in confidence and creativity. We are thankful for the opportunities God gives us to learn together and look forward to another great month!
