4th Grade - May 2026

Fourth grade ended the school year with a very special project — creating a storybook that will be featured at The Douglas R. Stier StoryWalk in McHose Park. The book, titled Roland’s Big Green Adventure, was written by Emerson Bornhoft. Every student in the class contributed by illustrating at least one page, making it a true class collaboration.

The StoryWalk displays the pages of a book sequentially along a paved trail, allowing families to enjoy reading the story page by page while spending time outdoors. Students worked hard on their illustrations and were excited to see how all of the pages came together into a finished book that can now be enjoyed by the community.

This project gave students a wonderful opportunity to combine creativity, writing, art, and teamwork while sharing their work beyond the classroom walls. We hope everyone takes time to visit McHose Park this summer, walk the trail, and enjoy our fourth graders’ hard work and creativity through Roland’s Big Green Adventure!
