October has been a busy and exciting month in fourth grade! We have been learning, exploring, and working hard across all our subjects. One highlight was our field trip to Swede Point Park in Madrid, where students enjoyed hands-on learning about animals, their habitats, water conservation, and more. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore God's creation outside the classroom!

In reading, we recently finished The Wild Robot and have begun an exciting biography project. Students are learning about influential people and discovering what makes their stories special. We are also bringing reading and art together as students create posters to accompany their biography projects. We can't wait to see their creativity shine!

Our fourth graders have been working hard in math, tackling challenging multi-step word problems. Students are learning to think through problems carefully, persevere, and not give up when things get tough. It has been wonderful to see their determination and growing confidence.

In Religion, we have been learning about God's creation and what He created on each of the seven days. These lessons remind us of the beauty and care God placed in the world around us. Be sure to ask your fourth grader to share what they have learned!

I am so proud of the hard work, growth, and perseverance our fourth graders have shown this month! It has been a joy watching them challenge themselves and grow together as a class. I can't wait to see what November brings!
