4th Grade - September 2026
We have had a fantastic start to the school year! September has been filled with learning, growing, and settling into our classroom community. The students have been practicing classroom rules and routines while working hard to become responsible, respectful, and independent fourth graders.
One of the highlights of our reading time has been reading The Wild Robot together. Students are enjoying the story while strengthening comprehension and vocabulary skills. In math, they completed their first chapter and test, covering place value, number forms, ordering numbers, counting change, and decimals. In English, students have been learning about nouns, including plural and possessive nouns. Our fourth graders have also been using their creativity in art as they explored perspective and created their own aquariums. In choir, they have been making beautiful music with Mrs. Sprengeler and enjoying the opportunity to sing together. In Religion, Pastor Standfest has been helping students learn how to navigate and use their Bibles. They have also been discussing the reminder that “He Knows Your Name,” a meaningful message that points them to the love and care of Jesus.
We are proud of all our fourth graders have accomplished already and look forward to another month filled with learning, laughter, faith, and growth!
