December was a busy and meaningful month in 7th and 8th grade as students continued to grow academically while serving others during the Christmas season.
In math, students focused on financial concepts in preparation for the CHRISTkindl Market. They worked through real-world applications such as pricing, budgeting, profit margins, and stewardship, gaining a deeper understanding of how math applies to everyday decisions.
In science, students worked with Hummingbird robotic kits, applying engineering and design principles through hands-on building and programming. This engaging unit strengthened collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity as students tested ideas, made adjustments, and learned through trial and error.
Students also played an important role in the All-School Christmas Service on December 12, helping share the message of Christ’s birth through song and Scripture. Their participation reflected both their preparation and their willingness to serve as leaders within our school community.
In addition to their classroom learning, 7th and 8th graders prepared and delivered Christmas care packages to members of our congregation. This meaningful service project gave students the opportunity to put their faith into action by sharing kindness, encouragement, and the love of Christ with others during the Christmas season.
We are proud of the hard work, leadership, and compassion our 7th and 8th graders have shown this month and are thankful for the many ways they continue to learn, serve, and grow together.
