It has been a busy and engaging month in 7th and 8th grade as students continue to grow academically and represent our school in meaningful ways.

In Social Studies, students have been studying the Revolutionary War and America’s founding documents, examining how the Declaration of Independence and Constitution shaped our nation and continue to influence us today. Seventh graders have also begun their unit on World War II, exploring its global impact and the leadership and sacrifice demonstrated during that time.

In ELA, students are strengthening their understanding of prepositional phrases and how they improve clarity in writing. They have also begun studying Shakespeare, learning to work through his language while discovering themes that still resonate today.

Science has been hands-on and engaging. Students built timing gates using micro:bits while studying speed, velocity, and acceleration, and they are exploring electricity and circuits. These projects encourage problem-solving and real-world application.

In Math, students are applying percents to real-world situations and solving systems of equations through graphing, elimination, and substitution, continuing to strengthen their algebraic thinking.

In Art, students completed charcoal value studies and abstract design projects, demonstrating both creativity and technical growth.

Beyond the classroom, students participated in choir tour, traveling to Seward Nebraska, sharing their musical gifts, and attended STEM Day at the Capitol, where they explored innovation and future career pathways.

We are proud of the effort, curiosity, and leadership our 7th and 8th graders show each day.
