8th Grade Class Trip 2026

Our 8th grade class recently returned from an unforgettable trip filled with adventure, new experiences, and meaningful moments together.

The trip began as students flew into Nashville—an exciting first flying experience for a couple of students—and enjoyed their first stop at an authentic Waffle House. The group then traveled to Pigeon Forge, stopping at Buc-ee’s along the way and driving through the Smoky Mountains, where they played in the water and hiked to a waterfall. They also spent a day at Dollywood, enjoying rides and attractions.

Thursday was a particularly meaningful day as the group traveled to Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. These experiences gave students a powerful, hands-on connection to the truth of God’s Word, from His work in creation to His judgment and grace in the account of Noah. Students were reminded of God’s faithfulness to keep His promises and how all of Scripture ultimately points us to His plan of salvation through Christ.

They got to stay at a 250-acre hunting preserve, where they fed deer marshmallows, explored the creek, and ended the day with a bonfire and s’mores.

Friday brought the group back to Nashville for the trip home. Before heading to the airport, students enjoyed time at the mall near the Grand Ole Opry and a stop at a retro arcade to wrap up the trip.

This trip was a special opportunity for students to build friendships, try new things, and grow in their understanding of God’s creation and His promises. We are especially thankful to all who donated and supported this trip, helping make this experience possible for our students.
