As we reflect on our years at Trinity, we realize that Trinity has taught us so much more than just academics. Of course, we learned math, science, grammar, and history, but Trinity Lutheran School has also helped shape who we are as people and as Christians.
When we think about what Trinity has truly taught us, we think about the fruits of the Spirit. We learned patience — patience in working with classmates, teammates, and younger students. We learned that everyone grows differently and that working together takes understanding and grace.
We learned love. Trinity has become more than just a school; it has become a family. Through every challenge, celebration, field trip, and school event, we learned how important it is to support and care for one another.
We learned joy — not just during big events, but in everyday moments spent together. Some of our favorite moments include the all-school operettas that are always so much fun to put together, Water Day — splashing friends and teachers and skipping out on class, robotics — making code and learning useful problem-solving skills, dissections — hands-on learning the ins and outs of God’s creatures, and cheering each other on during basketball and volleyball district tournaments as we claimed victory.
We learned peace by knowing who God created us to be. At Trinity, we were reminded that our identity is not based on grades, sports, or popularity, but on being redeemed children of God.
We learned kindness and goodness through teachers and staff who encouraged us every day to do our best. Trinity has pushed us not only academically but also in our character — teaching us to work hard even when we didn’t always want to, to live with integrity in our daily interactions, and to care for one another.
We learned gentleness through many service opportunities. Whether it was delivering Christmas packages, singing at nursing homes during choir tours, packing Operation Christmas Child boxes, or filling the blessing box, Trinity showed us how to share Christ’s love through our own acts of service, no matter how small.
Most importantly, during our time here, we learned faithfulness. Every day, we heard God’s Word, whether it was through prayer, devotions, chapel, or Bible lessons integrated into our academics. Trinity’s mission of meeting the needs of the whole child in everyday interactions and lessons has truly shaped who we are. Some of us started here at Trinity as preschoolers, while others joined our class later on. No matter how long we have been at Trinity, we have become a close-knit community.
As we move on to high school, we feel prepared academically, personally, and spiritually because Trinity encouraged us to do our best in every area of life.
To our parents, teachers, and staff — thank you for your love, support, patience, and encouragement throughout these years. And to our student family, thank you for all the fun memories, the friendships, the uncontrollable laughter, and the many wonderful experiences we have shared together.
