It’s been another great month in Kindergarten! We are working on a very exciting project—our own class book! The students voted for the theme to be holidays, and they have poured so much effort into both the writing and the illustrations. It has been wonderful to see their ideas come alive on each page. I’m incredibly proud of their creativity, and we are thrilled that the book will be published through Student Treasures for families to enjoy.

In Religion, we have been learning about Moses and Joshua and how God guided His people and kept His promises. The children have loved hearing these stories and talking about the ways God cares for us today. In Literacy, we continue to work hard on phonics. We are close to finishing the alphabet and have been practicing beginning sounds, rhyming words, and sight words. The kids especially enjoy singing and dancing to sight-word songs and get so excited when they recognize a word we’ve learned while reading together.

In Math, our main focus has been numbers 0–20. We’ve been working on writing numerals, counting by 1s, 5s, and 10s, recognizing quantities, building patterns, and using tally marks. The students have shown great growth as they practice these foundational math skills. In STEM, we explored the life cycles of pumpkins and turkeys and completed a few engineering challenges that encouraged teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.

Forest Fridays continue to be one of the highlights of our month! The beautiful fall weather made it especially fun to play in the leaves, explore nature, and enjoy the world God has made. Outdoor experiences give students wonderful opportunities to learn, observe, and use their imaginations as they discover all that God has placed around us.
