Preschool - March 2026

Hello, One and All! TLS preschoolers have been busy learning and playing this March. Parent/Teacher conferences provided the opportunity to meet with all preschool families and to share how much each child has grown not only academically and socially, but also in Faith! We have a room full of compassionate, service-oriented little people. I am constantly amazed at how they share the love of Christ with one another and with the adults around them. What a blessing they are! 

We began a six-week investigation of “Plants & Seeds” before spring break and have had a fabulous time learning about how seeds travel, germinate, and grow! We are truly amazed at how God made seeds so small, and yet they grow into such wonderful, unique plants!

We have also worked hard this month learning how to make words rhyme at the end (traditional rhyming) and at the beginning (alliteration). We enjoyed nursery rhymes, Silly Sally, and playing the “Name Game” together. If you see a preschooler, enjoy some rhyme time!

Letters and numbers fill our days in many different ways as we strive to master identification! We enjoy games that strengthen our skills and teach us to take turns, too. We’re praying the weather continues to warm so we can take our learning games outside soon! As we follow Jesus this Lenten season, we learned that Jesus is our good shepherd and that He cares for each of us! We were amazed that Jesus fed 5,000 people with a boy’s lunch of 2 loaves and 5 fish, that He calmed the sea, and He taught us to love everyone, even the tax collector Zacchaeus. We joined in cheering for Jesus as He entered Jerusalem on a colt, with people shouting "Hosanna" on Palm Sunday. We sat in stillness as we learned how Jesus was betrayed by Judas and denied by Peter–Jesus reminded us how to forgive, and how He died on the cross for each of us. May you be filled with child-like awe as you prepare to celebrate Easter. He is risen!!
