3rd & 4th Grade - October 2022

It's only October, but it feels like we are old pros at all of our classroom routines. The 3rd and 4th graders are meeting the high expectations set for them in the areas of personal responsibility, accountability, and hard work.

This month we welcomed a new student, Jocelyn Leutner, to our classroom and celebrated two birthdays, Braedyn and Harper. We are looking forward to our Harvest Party. The whole class is grateful for the opportunities we have to celebrate and have fun with all those of our learning community.

A highlight of our month was going to the Outdoor Classroom in Madrid. Students spent the entire day at Swede Point Park learning from local experts. They had a hands-on lesson learning to identify animals by their skulls. They also went bird watching, learned about the prairie, had lessons about soil and pollution, learned about amphibians and spent time just enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. It was a great field trip enjoyed by all!

The students enjoyed several days off as the teachers traveled to Milwaukee for the LEA conference. What a blessing it is to be part of a school that puts such a high value on teacher training and care!
