In 3rd grade, we celebrated several birthdays and half-birthdays this month. Best of all, we spent the entire month celebrating Jesus’ birthday!
Our 3rd graders worked hard to memorize their parts for the Christmas service. Academically, they’ve been busy completing units on calculating the area of rectangles, reading and creating bar and picture graphs, and mastering verbs. In social studies, we discussed what makes a community, including its history, culture, people, climate, and economy. In science, students conducted experiments on force, motion, and magnets.
We’re excited for our classroom Christmas party, and everyone is looking forward to a break from school to rest, spend time with family and friends, and get ready for all the learning and growing ahead in 2024.
