"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." (Ephesians 1:3)
We began February by honoring our Student of the Month for January, Darian Quam. Darian has consistently modeled kindness, integrity, and hard work in class each day.
Our 3rd graders are making great progress in their academics! They’ve been learning how to enhance their writing by adding awesome adverbs to their sentences. In math, they are tackling multiplying by multiples of 10. So, when Pastor read from Matthew 18 in chapel and Jesus told Peter to forgive not just seven times but 7 x 70, they quickly knew the product! We also wrapped up our investigation into the digestive system, and students have now recited their 60th Bible verse this year!
Unfortunately, our field trip to see the Peking Acrobats was canceled, but it has been rescheduled for May 16th. While we were sad to miss this fun learning experience for now, we are still hopeful we’ll be able to attend in the spring.
We also had a fantastic Valentine’s Day celebration, thanks to our amazing room parents, Sheralyn Page and Emma Westrum. The class had a contest to make Valentine boxes, and the students did not disappoint with their creative designs!
