4th - 8th Grade - April 2021

Fourth and Fifth grade students will be taking a literary journey of America’s history. They will be reading about the early inhabitants of our country along with other literature selections that include cowboys, pioneers, and children of today.


Journal writing has become a favorite activity and the class will write a final essay on their experiences and thoughts of this Covid Year as a chapter in an autobiography.


For religion we will be studying Jesus’ final teachings, His death and resurrection, and the power He left His disciples.


6th grade students will be reading several selections of literature over the theme ‘Doers and Dreamers’. They will be learning about biographies and autobiographies and writing one of their own.


Students in the seventh and eighth grade have been writing a persuasive essay covering topics like dress code, racism, wearing a mask, adding courses, self-sustainment, and eliminating recess in the upper grades. They have been learning how to enhance their writing with appropriate pronoun usage.
