5th grade students have been wrapping up the year by preparing to share the glory of our Lord’s birth with their families at the Christmas worship service.

In Language Arts, the students are still learning all about verbs and improving their personal writing. They will begin writing opinion pieces to share at Lutheran Schools Week, as well as completing shared writing with the kindergarten class.

In Religion, 5th graders have been learning about the example of hope in hardship with Joseph and how God delivered His people through Moses, Romans 8:28, and we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. They have also been memorizing the 4th Petition of the Lord’s Prayer.

Congratulations to Charlie Fitzgerald for being recognized as Student of the Month in November!
