"So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." — Ephesians 3:17-19

In a world that often defines love by what we can see, touch, or feel, God invites us to experience a love that transcends our understanding—a love so profound and unconditional that it can only be fully known through the presence of Christ in our lives. This love is not just an abstract concept; it’s a living, breathing reality that impacts how we live, learn, and interact with one another.


God’s love for us is wide, encompassing everyone regardless of who we are or where we come from. It’s long, stretching across the entirety of our lives, from before we were born until after we leave this earth. It’s high, reaching the heights of joy and celebration in our lives. And it’s deep, diving into the darkest moments of sorrow and despair, never leaving us alone.


In our Lutheran school, we are not just a community of learners but a family rooted in this incredible love of God. It shapes our interactions, our studies, and our relationships. It teaches us grace, compassion, and forgiveness. Just as Christ welcomes everyone with open arms, we too are called to be vessels of His love, sharing it with those around us.


To be rooted and established in love means that our very foundation is built on the love of Christ. It is the source from which we draw strength, wisdom, and courage. It enables us to face challenges with faith and to seek wisdom in our studies and our lives.


Let’s challenge ourselves to reflect on this love daily. How can we show God’s love to those around us? How can we ensure that our actions, words, and thoughts are rooted in this love? Remember, God’s love is not just for us to keep but to share with the world around us, spreading hope and light in every corner of our lives and community.
