In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we have selected Bible verses that remind them of God’s love, and shared how their verse reflects God’s love for them:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16Because He loves us, God sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to redeem us from our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteous actions.—Jayden and Calvin
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” - John 15:13In this verse, Jesus tells us that the greatest act of love was His death on the cross. We don’t have to die for someone to show love; we just need to treat them with kindness and compassion. Jesus was perfect (He did not deserve to die), but He wanted to save us even though we didn’t deserve it. That is the greatest act of love.—Maverick and Olivia
“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” - Matthew 5:44Jesus was mocked, persecuted, and killed, yet He still loved everyone. He may have disagreed with others, but He still loved His enemies. Don’t just love your friends or your mom and dad—love EVERYONE!—Ruby and Moriah
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” - 1 John 4:7-12“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” - 1 John 4:8God showed love to us even though we were sinners. We strive to be Christlike as we love each other.—Leo and Sully
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” - Proverbs 3:3-4God is telling us never to let go of love because He made us in love and wants us to have a good name before God and man.—Harper and Joanna
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.” - 1 John 4:18If we truly understood the depth of God’s love, we would have nothing to fear.—Deklan and Sam
“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” - 1 John 4:9-10God showed His love for us by sending His only Son to die for us so that we may have eternal life through Him. God sent Jesus not because we loved Him, but because He first loved us.—Emma and Phinehas
“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” - Jeremiah 31:3Jesus tells us that He loves us now, has loved us in the past, and will love us in the future. Jesus shows His love for us in many ways, not just one.—Claire and Mady
“And when they had crucified Him, they parted His garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.” - Mark 15:24-25He died for us out of love. He willingly chose to die, even death on a cross, so that He could call us His own children.—Will, Onnah, and Carlie

Excerpts from our recent “What Trinity Means to Me” essays...
“Trinity is a place where I get the opportunity to learn not only academic subjects but also about the Bible. I am very grateful to be at this school. Trinity means family. Trinity means fun activities: sports, after-school clubs, carnivals, and water day.”
“Trinity is a happy place where children can be social and learn about the Lord. We learn to be Christ-like and share our love of Christianity with each other. It is a safe environment where we can come together, help one another, and get the support we need. We can share our thoughts and feelings openly and receive guidance from others. It is nice to be with the younger students because we get to be a good influence on them and be there for them.”
“Trinity has challenged me to act, think, and be a better Christian. It has brought me closer to God.”
“The longer I am at Trinity, the more I realize that Trinity is not just a school—it is a family. Each day is fun and challenging, and students are able to overcome those challenges and become more independent. After attending Trinity for four years, I feel well-prepared for high school. Aside from academics, Trinity is Christ-centered. Before attending Trinity, I was not a Christian, and without Trinity, I don’t think I would be. Without Trinity in my life, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
“I enjoy the sports program at Trinity and playing games against other Christian schools, especially the tournaments. The tournaments are fun because my teammates and I love to compete. Trinity helps me with my education because the teachers assist me with anything I’m struggling with. A lot of high schoolers tell me that Trinity is harder than high school! It’s a great school program, and the teachers are nice.”
“Trinity means family. The friends I’ve made here and the teachers are always there for me and look out for my best interests. Trinity provides me with many opportunities such as sports, music, and other great learning experiences. Not only does Trinity have a great education system, but we incorporate Jesus into everything we do. I see Trinity as a home, and all the people here are so nice. I feel very blessed to have Trinity in my life.”
“What Trinity means to me is making a lot of friends and being a family in Christ’s house. I love that we have chapel families and get to attend chapel with them. I enjoy being on student council and helping make decisions on fun activities throughout the year. I also love helping with the little kids and getting to read them stories. Cooking, sewing, Spanish, and Art are some of my favorite classes.”
“I think Trinity is the best school. I like that we have smaller classes and get to interact with the younger kids. I also appreciate having work time in class to complete my assignments.”
“To me, Trinity means deepening our relationship with God. We get to make friends at this school and do advanced work that prepares us for high school. Trinity teaches us how to pray to God and maintain that connection with Him. It reminds us that God is our Creator and Father and that we are His children.”
Praise God for the opportunities we have to attend a Lutheran school. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible!
