Preschool - November 2023

Greetings from Preschool!

We are so excited for December to begin—Advent, celebrating Jesus’s birthday (Christmas), and so much more! But before we get too caught up in what’s to come, let us share what we’ve been up to in November:

We’ve been learning the skill of rhyming through lots of practice, books, and giggles. We also explored how air can make a feather dance and wiggle. By building bridges and towers, we’ve strengthened our engineering powers.

We were amazed at how God used Esther, the beautiful queen, to save His people. All she had to do was “be kind,” “invite people to eat with her,” and trust that God would do the rest! Psalm 138 reminds us to praise the Lord with all our hearts because His love never fails.

We learned about the first Thanksgiving, how the Pilgrims traveled to worship freely, the friendships they made with the Wampanoag, and how they took time to give God thanks. Following their example, we paused to thank God for the many things we are grateful for: families, food, stuffed animals, dogs, cats, cousins, grandmas and grandpas, mommies and daddies, playing, friends, brothers, sisters, babies, playgrounds, having fun, Jesus, homes, the whole world, and for God! So, bless us all, big and small, and thank the Lord for making us all!

Now, we turn our focus to the Advent season. Jesus calls us to have childlike faith, which includes seeing the hope, joy, and wonder in the birth of our Savior, Jesus. If that fills you with the urge to dance, sing, or shout—the preschoolers suggest you do, as they love to do it too!

Prayers from Preschool!
