3rd & 4th Grade - May 2023

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.” ~ Psalm 95:6-7

And what great care He is given to the little flock in our 3rd and 4th grade classroom!  As we wrap up our school year, may all glory, thanksgiving and praise be given to Him who makes all things and gives us every blessing.  What a blessing it is to be daily in a school that preaches and teaches the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!  What an honor it is to be with beautiful children who eagerly start each day with prayer, who memorize His holy Word, and who confess that they are sinners saved only by the grace of our Lord Jesus!

As the students leave with their heads full of new knowledge and skills about decimals, the water cycle, the digestive system, the amazing wonder of the human eye, the history of Jamestown, the early Spanish and French explorers, principles of art, how to play the recorder, and so much more.  It is my hope and trust that most of all they move on from 3rd and 4th grade taking with them the truth of Scripture, the knowledge of the Gospel, and the love of Jesus!

May was an extremely busy, busy month!  We celebrated 2 class birthdays, had the track meet, the operetta, the talent show, cleaned out our desks and returned out books, wrapped up all of our academic units and more!

We had 3 field trips in May!  We went to the Spring Outdoor Classroom at Don Williams, sponsored by the Boone County Conservation.  We learned about snakes and turtles, composting, and the prairie.  We were invited to ride the Boone Scenic Valley Railroad.  The high school FFA put on a fabulous half day of learning at the Boone County fairgrounds.  There were a lot of wonderful off-campus learning activities!

We wrapped up our Christian Men & Women of Courage time with a celebratory cookout at Pastor Heimer’s house. This has been a wonderful experience where Pastor takes the boys and I get to meet with the girls.  We read about great men and women of the faith and then discuss what it means to be a courageous man or woman of God!  It was so kind of Pastor to invite us to his house, and so generous of our parents to provide all of the food for our cookout feast!

Praise be to our God for all of His blessings this school year!
