Our 3rd graders continue to learn and grow, and we are THANKFUL for the blessing that is Trinity Lutheran School.
We wrapped up our unit on nouns and are now diving into verbs in English. We’re already on our 6th unit in Math, where we’re tackling finding area—good thing we’re mastering our multiplication facts! In science, we’re studying force and motion, with some great hands-on learning using magnets, building trapezes, and constructing bridges to test for strength. Students have also been studying the world map and learning about continents and oceans. Phonics, reading, writing—we are busy, busy, busy!
We had a field trip planned to see Dr. Kaboom and the Wheel of Science. Unfortunately, the good doctor was sick, and the show was canceled at the last minute. We made the best of the situation by going on a class hike at Jester Park instead. We are so thankful for our flexible, servant-hearted moms who chaperone and make these outings possible.
Parent-teacher conferences were a great time for us to come together and discuss how to help each 3rd grader be their best.
We also have a wonderful time working with our kindergarten buddies. We do projects and read together. Be sure to check out our thankfulness turkeys on display in the hallway outside our classroom—these were made in partnership with our little buddies.
We love school but are also thankful for the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend to spend time with family and friends, rejuvenate, and come back... ready... to... learn!
