Math - Students learned how to reduce fractions to their simplest form, decompose fractions, and solve multi-step story problems when only some information is provided. We focused on asking key questions like: “What is the problem asking me to find out?” “What information is provided and what do I already know?” and “What steps need to be taken?” Students are getting better at showing their work and labeling their answers.

Science - Students have been studying sound and light energy. We took a deeper dive into our nervous systems by exploring the inner workings of our eyes and ears. Many students mentioned that this was their favorite science unit of the year.

Art - Students painted colorful tulip bouquets in celebration of spring! They also had a great time painting birdhouses for Mother’s Day. We hope the moms enjoyed their gifts!
