Math: 5th--We have been multiplying decimals and now we are beginning to divide them! 6th-We are converting metric units to standard US units of measurement. We played a competitive math game solving for tootsie rolls and knowledge.
Religion: We created paper slides of our favorite Bible stories. After we finished the paper version, we created Google Slides to help bring the story to life.
Reading: We finished our free choice books last week. We created story cubes to display what each of the novels were about. We did our “Farm-tastic Book Tasting” and now we are reading survival books in small groups.
Social Studies: We are learning about the 13 Colonies. We are creating 3D maps of New England Colonies and Southern Plantations.
Science: Expanding and Contracting is our current focus of study. We enjoy the labs--i.e. Using thermometers to measure degrees of ice water and hot water.
English: We wrote stories about our missing teacher--you would be surprised at the secret teacher rooms at Trinity we wrote about. We have just finished creating our “Attitudes of Gratitude,” stating 100 things for which we are thankful! Stop by to read our lists--we might surprise you!
PE: We are improving our core strength and basketball skills. We really enjoy playing Yoshi when we extra time!
Art: We just completed our peace poster competition. Kindness Matters was the theme of this year’s competition.
