From the Principal's Desk - December

Children learn best when the adults in their lives; parents and teachers, work together

to encourage and support them. This basic fact is part of Trinity Lutheran School’s mission,

“to partner with parents in providing a Christ-centered educational program”

It is a guiding principle on how our school functions and how our children are taught. Schools alone cannot address all of a child's developmental needs. The need for a strong partnership between schools and families to educate children is essential. In order for children to be successful they need to hear the same message from teachers and parents. Children need to understand that they are expected to uphold the same standards at home and at school.

As society becomes more secular this Christ-centered partnership becomes more vital to a child’s development. Children don't stop learning about values and relationships when they enter a classroom, nor do they stop learning academics when they are at home. They are constantly observing the interactions of others and learning how to treat one another by our examples.

All the experiences children have, both in and out of school, help shape their understanding of the world around them. In order to cultivate this parent school relationship. Trinity welcomes parent involvement in the educational process. Trinity families make a commitment of time and energy in supporting their children both at home and at school. When home and school partner together the children are the winners. Our Trinity Lutheran School is here to support parents in raising their children in the Christian faith. As a new year begins, may our focus be on how God can use us to model and provide for the needs of the children in our care.

I ask you to pray for our school year that each child, teacher, and family be blessed with

the loving presence of our Almighty God today and every day of the 2019-2020 school year!
