The preschool room has been filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas this past month! We’ve been busy making presents, comparing the sounds of different-sized jingle bells, decorating cookies, writing with candy canes, sending Christmas messages, and retelling the Nativity story—just a few of our daily activities!
We were excited to join the “big kids” in Trinity’s school Christmas service. Learning Christmas songs, proclaiming God’s Word, and sharing the good news filled us with joy.
We learned that Jesus was born in a stable and that His cradle was a manger! We are amazed by His humble beginning and how much God loves us by sending Jesus.
We finished our month by celebrating Jesus’s birthday together.
When asked, “What birthday gift would you give to Jesus?” the preschoolers responded with:
“A baby toy.” (Masyn)
“A Christmas Barbie.” (Briggs)
“A rattle.” (Mackiera)
“I would give baby Jesus a stuffy.” (Henry)
“A pacifier!” (Henry)
“I would give baby Jesus, Him. Him to love.” (Micah)
“A tractor.” (Everett)
“A baby!” (Regina-Skye)
“A blankie!” (Ellie)
“A baby toy!” (Ben)
“Flowers.” (Jace)
We’ve learned that Jesus wants us to love Him because He is the greatest gift of all! We love because He first loved us!
Have a Merry CHRISTmas and a Blessed New Year!
Prayers from Preschool!
